Vanessa Yurkevich is a digital correspondent for CNN, covering the intersection of money and politics across CNN's digital and television platforms.

In this role, Yurkevich has reported on key races like Pennsylvania's 18th district and Arizona's 8th district where she embedded with the steel workers and senior citizen community respectively. She has also reported on immigration and has spent time reporting from the US-Mexico border. In a three-part series The Green Wall, Yurkevich spent months embedded with three border agents about life protecting the US border.

Yurkevich also embarked on a one-month road trip for CNN's award-winning #MyVote Campaign Camper tour, traveling the country in the final weeks of the 2016 election, speaking with Americans about the issues that matter to them. She spent Election Night 2016 anchoring CNN's coverage from the Empire State Building which won an Edward R. Murrow, Webby and PROMAXBDA award.

She's also exclusively interviewed Richard Branson about his new Virgin Hotel chain, along with billionaires Tommy Hilfiger and Related CEO, Stephen Ross. She's sat down with Arianna Huffington, singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi, and Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.

Before joining CNN, Yurkevich worked for Blouin Artinfo, NY1 News and NY1 Noticias, BBC, The New York Times -- The Local, and Associated Press Television in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She received the Scripps Howard Immigration Fellowship from the International Center for Journalists and the Knight Foundation's US - Russia Young Media Professionals Fellowship.

Yurkevich is fluent in Spanish and received her bachelor's degree from Fordham University in communications and Spanish. She also holds a certificate for Polish language from Hunter College.
